Activities at The Hideaway:

Summer activities include hiking, fishing, canoeing, swimming, paddle-boating, loon watching, and bicycling, just to name a few. Whether it's wetting a line, relaxing on the dock with a good book, enjoying fun and games in the open yard, or relaxing by the fire pit as the loons serenade you, there's something for everyone at the Hideaway. Kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, row boats, paddle boards, inflatable swimming rafts, a platform raft, and flotation are available for your use free of charge. Bring your fishing boat to explore other area lakes or your bikes to enjoy excellent biking roads and the Bearskin State Trail. Hiking on our property as well as on the surrounding state-owned land promises spectacular sightings of unique vegetation in the wetland bogs (you will see pitcher plants- Wisconsin's largest and showiest carnivorous plant) and towering hemlock forests. The property is an absolute paradise for kids, with plenty of room for yard games and 700 feet of water frontage for fishing, frog-catching, and turtle spotting.
